How to Skip a Day in Zelda: Majora's Mask

"The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask" pits heroic Link against the cruelest enemy of all: time. Within three days, the world of "Termina" will be destroyed by a moon. Using his Ocarina, Link must travel forward and backward in time to collect four masks to free the gods of Termina. As the player continuously repeats the three-days using time travel, it is sometimes necessary to jump forward in time to complete tasks only accessible at specific points in the cycle. This is accomplished using the "Song of Double Time."

Instructions

    • 1

Speak to the Stylin' Scarecrow at the Trading Post in West Clock Town, or the lower floor of the Astral Observatory.

    • 2

Learn the "Song of Double Time."

    • 3

Play the song by bringing up your Ocarina and playing the notes indicated. The controls are "C-Right," "C-Right," "A," "A," "C-Down," "C-Down." This will jump the timer ahead 12 hours. Play it twice to advance a day. Alternatively, you can agree to dance with the Scarecrow and this will advance time by the same amount.
