First Dragon Coin
When the level begins, you see a Koopa walking toward a yellow shell. Run up and jump on the Koopa's head before it climbs into the shell. If you don't stop it in time, the Koopa becomes invincible. It rolls around on the ground and tries to run you over. Once you defeat or dodge the Koopa, jump on the green pipe. From there, leap on the overhead platform. Pick up the first Dragon Coin.
Second Dragon Coin
Walk past the moving pipes until you see a Hammer Brother on a flying platform. Wait for the platform to lower, and then jump up to knock the Hammer Brother off. Alternatively, if you don't want to fight the Hammer Brother, run up the wall before he can hit you with one of his hammers. Keep walking to the right until you see a blue pipe. Get the second Dragon Coin in front of the blue pipe.
Third Dragon Coin
Jump on the blue pipe and press "Down" to go down to the lower level. Five flying Paratroopers hover over a bottomless pit. Time your jump so you bounce on the head of the first Paratrooper. Move right, bouncing off each Paratrooper's head as you go. As you bounce, you pick up the third Dragon Coin. When you reach the other side of the pit, stand under the pipe. Jump up to go back up to the top level.
Fourth Dragon Coin
Head right and hit the checkpoint. If you die, you'll restart the level from this spot. You won't have to pick up the Dragon Coins you already collected. Jump over the hole. Hit the "?" block to find Yoshi. Jump on Yoshi's back. Go right and use Yoshi to eat the flying Goombas. Slide into the pit and grab the fourth Dragon Coin.
Fifth Dragon Coin
Keep walking until you see a power-up box. Hit the power-up box to get an invincibility star. Pick up the star to turn invincible for several seconds. Dozens of enemies appear in the area ahead, so run as fast as you can. As long as the invincibility star is active, the enemies die when you run into them. Defeat or pass the flying Hammer Brother. Go forward until you reach a few jagged peaks. Pick up the fifth Dragon Coin here to get an extra life.
