How to Pass Super Mario for the Nintendo SNES

"Super Mario Brothers" a classic game from the original Nintendo Entertainment System that was ported to the Super Nintendo by way of "Super Mario World." This game included all three of the original Mario games from the NES, as well as a new title called "Mario World." Without the ability to save, playing this classic game requires a serious time commitment if you wish to see the end. That is, unless you know a few secrets.

Instructions

  1. Fast Track to World 4

    • 1

Play through level 1-1 as normal. Avoid falling down any holes or getting hit by any enemies.

    • 2

Play through the majority of level 1-2, which takes place underground. As you approach the end of the level, you'll come across an area with two large holes in the floor. Each hole has an elevator cycling over it.

    • 3

Hop over the first elevator and land on top of the blocks over the island between the two holes. Leap on to the second elevator, and ride it up to the top of the level.

    • 4

Leap on to the blocks that form the top of the level and run until you fall into a small room. The room contains three pipes. Hop on to the far left pipe, and press "Down" to warp to World 4.

    Fast Track to World 8

    • 5

Play through level 4-1 as normal. Avoid falling down holes and losing lives to enemies.

    • 6

Start level 4-2, and play through the beginning of the level. You'll quickly find yourself at a large whole with an elevator cycling above it. Use the elevator to clear the hole on the floor. On the opposite side of the hole, you'll see a row of three blocks hovering above the floor.

    • 7

Move Mario under the right block and jump. He'll contact an invisible block. Jump under the middle block and you'll contact another invisible block. Jump on to the uncovered invisible blocks and break the middle and right blocks over your head.

    • 8

Inch out under the left block, you'll be dangling off the edge of the second invisible block, apparently holding on by Mario's toes. Jump to bump the left block, and a vine will grow out of it.

    • 9

Climb the vine back above ground. Gather the coins you find and climb up the staircase to find another Warp Zone. Use the left pipe to warp straight to World 8, the last world in the game.

    • 10

Play through the four levels of World 8, and you'll have successfully completed Super Mario in a single short sitting.
