How to Do Signature Layups on NBA 2010

Signature layups in 2K Sport's NBA 2010 are layup moves by popular basketball players, such as Kobe Bryant and Rajon Rondo, that render defenders unable to block your shots. The signature layups in the video game are designed to reflect the type of special layup that the player would perform in a real game of NBA basketball. While you may never trick a defender with your own signature layup in real life, you can mimic your favorite NBA star's signature layup by knowing what button combination to push on your video game controller.

Instructions

    • 1

Pass the ball to the player who's signature layup you want to perform.

    • 2

Approach the basket while holding the turbo button. On Xbox, your default turbo button is your right trigger while on the PlayStation 3, your default turbo button is your controller's R2 button.

    • 3

Stop your player when you are close to the basket. While holding the turbo button, flick your right thumb stick on your controller to the right and release it quickly. Make sure you do this immediately after you stop your player.
