How Do You Get the Next Board on the Forest of Illusions to Open in Super Mario World SNES Game?

In "Super Mario World," Bowser has stolen the Princess away from Mario and hidden her in a secret underground castle. To reach the Princess, Mario must travel through the Forest of Illusions, a world filled with dead-end paths, alternate routes and strange new enemies. If you go through the normal exit in the second-to-last level of the Forest of Illusions, you cannot get to the next area to challenge the boss. To exit the Forest of Illusions and reach Roy's Castle, you need to find a key and go through the secret exit.

Instructions

- 1
  Enter the "Forest of Illusions 3" level. Collect any power-up, such as a mushroom, cape or fire flower.

  Proceed through the level until you reach a tall green pipe next to the normal exit. Go down the pipe to reach an underground cavern.

  Jump on top of the blocks and press "A" to do a spin jump. Mario breaks through the blocks.
- 4
  Pick up the key and walk over to the keyhole. When you touch the key to the keyhole, you go through the secret exit. This unlocks the path to Roy's Castle.
- 5
  Follow the newly opened path. It leads you out of the Forest Illusions into another area. Enter Roy's Castle and defeat Roy to open the next world, Chocolate Island.
