How to Use Potions and What to Do With Gold in Telengard

"Telengard" is one of the first examples of a rougelike dungeon crawl computer game, made available on the Commodore 64 in 1982. In this game, your main objective is to explore various dungeons in the game and defeat large monsters for rewards. There are no stores in the game, but you can still obtain gold and potions during your journey. Potions let you increase your strength and health and gold helps you level up.

Instructions

- 1
  Press "F5" on your Commodore 64 keyboard to drink a healing potion. Depending on the strength of the potion, you will recover some or all of your hit points. You can find health potions all around dungeons.

  Press "F7" on your Commodore 64 keyboard to drink a strength potion. Depending on the strength of the potion, your character will become superhumanly strong for a short period of time. You can find strength potions all around dungeons.
- 3
  Return to the inn to deposit gold. These are the inns you pass through before entering a dungeon. The amount of gold you deposit translates into experience your character earns. For example, if you deposit 50 gold, you will get 50 experience for your character.
