How to Jump Across Gaps in Castlevania

"Castlevania" is a role-playing video game for the Nintendo Entertainment System, released in May 1987. You play as Simon Belmont, a demon hunter sent to destroy Dracula and the monsters that have plagued the earth. "Castlevania" is set inside of castles, in dark forests and muddy swamps. As you navigate the land, you must avoid falling into gaps and holes that lead to certain death. If a bridge isn't available, the only way to cross gaps is to jump over them.

     Press the directional pad toward the gap to walk in that direction.

     Press the "A" button to jump right before the gap begins.

   • 3

     Press and hold the directional pad toward the end of the gap. Press the directional pad in the same direction in which you were walking. As you hold the directional pad, Simon will jump over the gap.
