How to Enter the Shadow Temple in Legend of Zelda

"The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time" was released in North America in 1998. It quickly became one of the best-selling games for the Nintendo 64 console and is considered by fans to be the best game of the "Zelda" franchise. The Shadow Temple is the seventh temple of the game and is regarded as being one of the most difficult, scary and challenging temples in the game's history.

Instructions

    • 1

Travel to Kakariko Village, where the entrance to the Temple can be found. Use your map to travel to the village.

    • 2

Free the character "Bongo Bongo" from imprisonment. He can be found in the jail in Kakariko Village. Enter the jail and break the lock on his cell by hitting it with your sword.

    • 3

Learn the "Nocturne of Shadow" from Shiek by pressing the same series of buttons on your controller as Sheik while he plays the song. Shiek's role in the game is to teach Link songs on his Ocarina, the musical flute that Link uses to gain access to temples.

    • 4

Go to the graveyard which can be found at the back of the village.

    • 5

Proceed to the back wall. There you will find an alcove directly behind the last gravestone. Play the song "Nocturne of Shadow." Once the song is played, the door to the temple will appear in the alcove.
