SNES Instructions

The Super Nintendo Entertainment Center, or SNES, was introduced to the North American market in late 1991. The SNES has since earned the label of "classic," known for landmark games such as "Super Mario World," "StarFox," "Donkey Kong Country" and "Earthbound." If you have recently scored an SNES at a garage sale or resale shop but do not have a user manual, the installation process is relatively straightforward. Any television with audio/video inputs can connect to your SNES.

Instructions

    • 1

Plug the SNES power cable into the power slot on the back of the unit. The SNES has two cables; each one only fits into one part of the console.

    • 2

Run the other end of the power cord into a functioning wall outlet or surge protector.

    • 3

Hook the audio/video output cable into the back of the SNES.

    • 4

Run the audio/video line into an open input jack on the back of your television. Put the red plug into the red port, the white into the white, and the yellow into the yellow.

    • 5

Insert a game into the top of the SNES system. Push down until you feel a click.

    • 6

Plug a SNES controller into an empty port on the front of the unit.

    • 7

Turn on the system. Set your television to "Input" or "AV" to pick up the signal.
