How to Get Into the Underworld in Final Fantasy 2

If you play "Final Fantasy II" and need to know how to get into the Underworld, you are playing the original Super Nintendo release of the game. "Final Fantasy II" in America is actually "Final Fantasy IV" in Japan; re-releases in America on other platforms like the PlayStation and the Nintendo DS change the game's title back to "Final Fantasy IV." In either version, the game takes the player to locations such as the moon and an Underworld beneath the world's surface. You must get into the Underworld in order to continue the game's storyline.

Instructions

- 1
  Defeat Valvalicia, known as "Barbariccia" in the re-releases. After the battle, you will enjoy a cut scene in which Cain, called "Kain" in re-releases, automatically gives you an item called the Magma Stone.

  Fly to Agalt, or "Agart" in re-releases. Board your Airship and select Agalt as your destination. It is an island, and you will find it on the south side of your map.

  Locate the well in the center of the town of Agalt. Stand before it and press the select button.

  Confirm that you want to drop the Magma Stone into the well. The pathway to the Underworld opens.
- 5
  Leave town and enter your Airship. Select the newly-opened Underworld crater as your destination.
