How to Make a Shadow Chao in SA2

Creating a "Shadow Chao" is a fun feature of "Sonic Adventure 2," released for the Sega Dreamcast in 2001. Shadow is a playable character who wants to conquer the world. A chao is a small creature that roams around the Chao Garden in "Sonic Adventure 2." They are pets that you care for, and evolve by hatching, petting and feeding them. When you are playing as a dark character, the chao will evolve into a "Shadow Chao." You must play as either Shadow or a Rougue to create a "Shadow Chao."

Instructions

  Go to the "Chao Garden" and pick up a spotted egg by pressing the "B" button while standing in front of it.

  Move the analogue stick back and forth to shake the egg until it hatches a chao.

  Pick up the chao by pressing the "B" button while standing in front of it. Put the chao back down by pressing the "B" button. Move the analogue stick while standing in front of the chao to pet it. Keep petting him until he turns completely black and the heart over him turns pink.

  Feed the black chao green chaos drives until its "Run" level is 8.

  Pet the black chao and feed him fruits every 30 minutes of time spent in the "Chao Garden." After three to four hours in the "Chao Garden," the chao will be ready to evolve.

  Find the chao and pick it up, then set it down and wait while a blue-green teardrop-shaped shell forms around it. The chao will then evolve into a "Shadow Chao."
