How to Increase Max Money on Zelda: Ocarina of Time

Rupees are a type of precious stone that act as currency in "The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time." The Rupees you earn are stored inside your wallet for safekeeping, but your wallet has only a finite amount of space available to store your Rupees. If you already have the maximum amount of Rupees in your wallet, any additional Rupees you collect will be discarded. To increase the amount of money you can hold, you must obtain a larger wallet.

Instructions

    • 1

Travel to the House of Skulltula, in the southern area of Kakariko Village. The House of Skulltula is in the same location both as Child Link and Adult Link and can be accessed at any time after you first travel to Kakariko Village during the game's storyline.

    • 2

Talk to the father of the family inside the House of Skulltula. He will ask you to defeat the Golden Skulltulas found all around Hyrule to break the curse on his family. There are 100 Golden Skulltulas in total, and they are found in every location throughout Hyrule. Some are in plain sight, but others are hidden.

    • 3

Kill a Golden Skulltula whenever you come across one on your journeys, using your sword. When it dies, it will drop a Golden Skulltula token. Walk over the token to collect it. If the token is too far to reach, use your Hookshot to bring it to you.

    • 4

Collect 10 Golden Skulltula tokens and return to the House of Skulltula. Talk to the father; he will give you an Adult Wallet as a prize. This allows you to hold 200 Rupees.

    • 5

Collect 30 Golden Skulltula tokens; talk to the father to receive the Giant Wallet. The Giant Wallet, which allows you to hold 500 Rupees, is the largest wallet in the game.
