How to Morph in Metroid for SNES

"Super Metroid" is a video game released for the Super Nintendo (SNES) in 1994. The third game in the series, protagonist Samus Aran can perform many of her iconic moves from earlier titles, such as morphing into a small ball to find hidden passageways. Once Samus has found the Morph Ball in Brinstar at the beginning of the game, she can morph into her ball form at any time. Knowing how to morph is essential to finishing the game, as you cannot access many areas without knowing how to perform the move.

     Press down on the Super Nintendo controller's directional pad twice to morph into a ball.

     Press left or right on the directional pad to roll in the direction pressed.

   • 3

     Press up on the directional pad to morph Samus back into a human.
