How to Defeat the Tomato Man in 'Secret of Mana'

"Secret of Mana" is a role-playing game on the Super Nintendo. Tomato Man is an enemy found in the Pandora Ruins that has unique qualities. Unlike other creatures, the Tomato Man has very high defense, so normal attacks will not work on it. In addition to the high defense, it can cast powerful fireball spells and summon zombies to aid it in battle. A Tomato Man can be defeated only by using a charged attack or magic.

Instructions

  Enter into combat and select your strongest physical character.

  Wait until your attack gauge is at 100 percent, then hold down the attack button to let your weapon charge.

  Release the attack button when your weapon is fully charged, which is when the attack bar changes color. You will deal a critical blow to the enemy standing in front of your character.

  Repeat Step 3 if Tomato Man is not killed after the first charged attack. It has very low health points, so one or two attacks should kill it.
