Instructions
Play through the game until you have beaten Gohma, the boss of Kokiri Forest, and spoken with Saria. Exit the forest and follow the path leading to the northwest to get to Hyrule.
Cross the drawbridge into Hyrule to enter the Marketplace. Follow the linear path through the Marketplace to get to Hyrule Castle.
Find the wall with vines on it adjacent to the castle gate, then climb the vines to walk along the wall. Drop down on the other side of the wall to get past the gate. Let one of the guards catch you so you are forced back outside.
Speak with Malon, who appears outside the castle gate after you get caught, to get a Weird Egg from her. You need this item once you get through the Hyrule Courtyard.
Use the vines to climb back over the wall, but don't let the guards catch you this time. Stay out of their sight lines and watch their movement patterns.
Sneak past the guards by hiding when they walk by, then run past when their backs are turned toward you. Eventually, you come upon Talon, who is asleep outside of the entrance to the castle.
Go to your inventory screen and you will notice that the Weird Egg has hatched into a rooster. Assign the rooster to one of your "C" buttons, then press that button while standing next to Talon to wake him up.
Push the blocks that Talon was sleeping on to form a bridge to the door and opening in the wall. Crawl through the opening to get to the Hyrule Castle Courtyard, where you must avoid more guards.
Watch the guards' movement patterns and hide behind hedges while you memorize how they move. Once you can predict their movements, make your way through the courtyard until you get to the end, where Princess Zelda awaits.
