How to Kill the Spider in Zelda

In "Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time" for the Nintendo 64, you play as Link, a young hero who must save Princess Zelda from her kidnapper, Ganondorf. Along the way you must explore a series of dungeons, where you will encounter plenty of large spiders called Skulltulas. They appear to be invulnerable to your attacks at first, but these foes have a weak spot you can exploit to defeat them.

     Step back when you see a Skulltula descend from the ceiling to avoid being hit.

     Target the Skulltula by holding the Z button.

   • 3

     Wait for Skulltula to spin around. When its top faces Link, you cannot damage a Skulltula.

   • 4

     Strike the spider with your sword by pressing B after it spins. Your sword will connect with its belly and eliminate the enemy.
