How to Shoot Cyclops' Beam in the X-Men SNES Game

"X-Men: Mutant Apocalypse" was released for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1995. The game allows you to take control of five X-Men members (Cyclops, Beast, Psylocke, Wolverine and Gambit) as they fight against some of their greatest foes. Each character has a set of special moves that require you to press a series of buttons in the proper order. Cyclops' destructive optic blasts are some of these moves. Three different types of optic blasts can be used in "X-Men: Mutant Apocalypse": one while standing, one while crouching and one while jumping.

Instructions

Standing Optic Beam

  Press the "Down" directional button on the control pad.

  Roll your thumb across the pad (to the right) until you reach the "Right" directional button.

  Press the "Y" button immediately after performing the previous step.
Crouching Optic Beam

  Press the "Right" directional button on the control pad.

  Roll your thumb toward the "Down" button.

  Hit the "Y" button immediately after you reach the "Down" button.
Jumping Optic Beam

  Press the "B" button to jump up in the air.
- 8
  Press the "Down" directional button on the control pad while in the air, and roll your thumb across the pad (to the right) until you reach the "Right" directional button.

  Press the "Y" button immediately after performing the previous step.
