Instructions
Place the four AA batteries in the compartments on the backside. Two batteries go on each side.
Insert the game cartridge into the electronic game on the backside. Directly down from the speaker and in the center between the two battery compartments is a cartridge compartment. Slide the game cartridge in the compartment with the game label facing up. You will feel the game cartridge click into place.
Place the "Family Feud" booklet in front of you on the easel. Look at the number on the LCD screen on the game. If the number is 620, find the number 620 in the booklet. You will see the question and 15 possible answers. Only six of these answers are correct and worth points. Nine of these answers are incorrect and worth nothing.
Turn on the game by sliding the "On/Off" button to the right to turn on the unit. Press "Player 1" for one player, who will play against the computer or press "Player 2" to play with two people. If you play with one person, the computer is Player 2 and you are Player 1. Now, press "Player 1" if playing with one person or press "Player 2" if playing with two people and press "Start/Enter" to start the game.
Read the question on the screen. Find the answer in the booklet that you think is the top answer. If playing with two people, the player that thinks he knows the top answer presses his player button for a chance to guess the top answer, if no one presses their player button, a coin-toss will decide which player goes first.
Use the number pad on the electronic game to enter the number of the word from the booklet that corresponds with the answer. Press "Start/Enter" to see if your choice is correct and how many points the word is worth. If it's the wrong word, you will get an "X" in the bottom, left corner, which represents a strike. The player keeps guessing until he guesses all the words or gets three strikes, when playing with one person. If the player gets a strike, the other player can press his player button to answer the question. If the answer is correct, the player takes control of the board. Press the "Clear" button if you misspell or change your mind about the word you are typing. This will clear the response so you can enter a new word.
Press "Start/Enter" after round one scores are displayed on the screen. This will start round two. Continue playing as you did in round one. There are three rounds before one player with the highest score gets to play the bonus round. If the computer wins with the highest score in a one player game, the game does not have a bonus round. If you win with the highest score, you will get to play the bonus round, which has five questions and five possible answers. The object is to guess the top answer for the most points. You can only guess one answer per question.
Press "Start/Enter" after the bonus round to start a new game.
