How to Get Secret Levels on Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island

Nintendo released "Super Mario Brothers 2: Yoshi's Island" for the Super Nintendo system in 1995. This classic game challenged players to guide Yoshi on his quest to protect baby Mario. The game features six levels, all of which contain eight worlds. At the end of each world, the game grades players on a scale of 1 to 100. In order to unlock secret worlds in "Yoshi's Island," players must achieve a 100 in each world. This task requires players to collect a large variety of items across each world.

     Thoroughly search each level for 30 stars, 20 red coins and five flowers. These items are scattered across each world and will often be hard to find. Take extra care to search high-up areas of each world.

     Reach 100 percent completion in all eight worlds of each level to unlock the bonus worlds.

     Access bonus worlds through the square cards at the end of each level. If the levels are still locked, these cards will contain a question mark.
