How to Wake the Sleeping Elf Prince in Final Fantasy

"Final Fantasy" is a role-playing fantasy-based video game originally released for the Nintendo Entertainment System in late 1987. In this game, you eventually come across an Elvish prince who has fallen under a curse that puts him into a coma forever. To advance the story, you must wake up the prince so he may give you a magic key, unlocking all of the doors that were previously blocking you.

Instructions

  Play through "Final Fantasy" until you come across the prince in Elfland. The game informs you that he is sleeping and cannot wake up.

  Go to the Marsh Caves, marked on your in-game map.

  Defeat the wizards, until you reach the end of the cave.

  Enter Northwest Castle to find Astos. Defeat him to receive 2,000 gold and a crystal eye.

  Head north past the mountains, west along the river, and then northeast to enter Matoya's Cave. Talk to Matoya to return her crystal, and she will give you an herb in return.
- 6
  Return to the sleeping Elvish prince. With the herb in hand, he will wake up and gives you the mystic key.
