In The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time How Do You Get the Bottle With the Blue Flame?

An empty bottle in "The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time" is a versatile item that can store a number of different items, from potions and fish to healing fairies and magic Blue Fire. Blue Fire is a special item used to melt the red ice barriers found in various dungeons across Hyrule. There are multiple ways to obtain Blue Fire, but each requires the use of an empty bottle, which Link will receive in Zora's Domain as part of the story line or as a prize for winning the Cucco Lady, Super Cuccuo and Big Poe mini-games.

Instructions

  Press the "Start" button to enter your equipment menu and equip an empty bottle to one of your "C" button slots.

  Search for a Blue Flame candle. These are only found in the Ice Cavern and Ganon's Castle.

  Press the "L" button to target a Blue Flame candle

  Press the corresponding "C" button to use your empty bottle and scoop up the Blue Flame. If performed correctly you will receive a confirmation message.

  Visit the Potion Shop to purchase Blue Fire for 400 Rupees instead of finding it in a dungeon. The Potion Shop is in the Market area of Hyrule Town in the past and in Kakariko Village in the future.
