Super Mario 64 for the Nintendo DS system is one of the most-played games for the system. Maneuver Yoshi underneath a red "?" block, and open it to reveal to a fire flower. Have Yoshi swallow it. Unless you have changed the controller button operation, the "Y" button does this.

Maneuver Yoshi to stand in front of an enemy character.

Press the "B" attack button. Yoshi will then spit fire.
