How to Get Past the Pit in Super Castlevania

"Super Castlevania IV" was originally released on the Super Nintendo and features side-scrolling, vampire killing action. You must defeat Dracula at the end of the game to win. There is a large pit just before Dracula's room that you can get past by going into the background. But there is a secret way to get across the pit and into a secret room filled with items. These items include 99 hearts, a triple boomerang and the most powerful whip in the game. There is also a staircase which takes you right to Dracula and bypasses several screens of tough enemies.

Instructions

  Clear all the enemies around the pit using your whip and special weapons. You need a full screen length to run and jump and if you hit any enemies it will slow your progress.

  Look down into the pit to find the staircase leading upwards from an opening in the wall. Aim for the bottom of that staircase when you jump.

  Stand at the very left edge of the screen and run. Jump to the right at the very end of the platform. Push up against the wall with your character as you fall. You should land on an invisible platform.

  Enter the opening in the wall to find the secret room. Collect all the items and leave.

  Go up the staircase to find and fight Dracula.
