Game Cheats for Bubble Bobble

Originally released as an arcade game in Japan, "Bubble Bobble" later appeared as a video game for different game consoles. The game always stars the same two protagonists, the twin bubble dragons Bub and Bob. In Japan, the twins are known as Bubblun and Bobblun. The gameplay tasks your dinosaur characters to use bubbles as weapons to progress through each stage. "Bubble Bobble" features a wide range of cheats, and each platform has a different list of codes.
  1. Game Availability

    • Although "Bubble Bobble" is currently available for multiple consoles, many of these consoles are no longer in active circulation. The game is available for Nintendo Wii, Game Boy and the PC. Two inactive, but recent, consoles, the first Nintendo console and the Game Boy, also offer Bubble Bobble cheats.

    Nintendo Wii

    • The Nintendo Wii version of "Bubble Bobble" offers many passwords that take a player to a specific level of the game. For example, if you want to transferr to level 23, input code "AIFFG." The cheat codes for level skips go up the last levels of the game. The game also has cheats that allows players to select any level they desire. For example, input "DDFFI" or "HEAGD" for super Bubble Bobble mode and "BACCF" for starting the game with 99 lives.

    PC

    • The PC version of Bubble Bobble doesn't have the same range of cheats that the Nintendo Wii version offers. To input cheats for the PC version of Bubble Bobble, go to the main menu of the game. Enter a specific sequence of key strokes -- left, right, up, down -- followed by the cheat code to obtain certain benefits. For example, enter "F4" to get a single extra life, "F5" for unlimited lives and "F3" to skip a single level.

    NES and GameBoy

    • Cheat codes for the Game Boy version of "Bubble Bobble" allow players to skip to a level of their choice. For example, to get to level 2, input "VGL1." The Nintendo version also has a full list of cheat codes for every level, both for normal and super mode, and cheats for gaining 99 lives and a stage select. It uses the same codes as the Nintendo Wii version.
