How to Go Upstairs on Michael Jackson's Moonwalker

"Michael Jackson's Moonwalker" is a video game based on the pop singer's 1988 movie, "Moonwalker". Level one of the video game mirrors the speakeasy club of the "Smooth Criminal" music video. Game play scrolls left and right; however, there are stair cases that lead to upper levels of the club. By default, the MJ avatar walks past the stairs when walking left or right but a simple control makes the character climb a flight of stairs instead.

Instructions

  Hold down the "left" directional key/button or the "right" key/button to approach a flight of stairs. Depending on how the stairs are oriented, you must approach the entrance to the stairs using the appropriate forward motion (right or left).

  Press "up" as you hold the appropriate forward motion. Michael Jackson's avatar will climb the stairs swiftly. You can alter the direction of the avatar's climb by pressing the opposite direction. For example, if the avatar moves up the stairs traveling right, press "left" to send him back down the stairs.

  Hold "down" while pressing the appropriate forward motion to travel back down a flight of stairs. Otherwise, the Michael Jackson avatar will walk past the flight of stairs.
