How to Beat Wolverine on the First Playthrough

"Wolverine" is an action-based video game originally released for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) by LJN in 1991. As its title suggests, the player takes on the role of Wolverine of Professor Xavier's X-Men mutant hero squad. The primary purpose of the game is to save mutants and humans alike from the evil Magneto and Sabretooth. Players only have one life to beat the game, so knowing how to beat Sabretooth on your first try is essential.

Instructions

  Play through the game as normal until you reach the ninth and final level.

  Punch Sabretooth immediately as you gain control of Wolverine. Do not equip your claws. These do not let you perform the same combination of hits and take off chunks of your life; if you mess up at all, one attack from Sabretooth will end your game quickly.

  Hold the "Down" button to duck when Sabretooth jumps over Wolverine.

  Hold the button to remain ducking as Sabretooth fires projectiles at you.

  Release the button when Sabretooth jumps back to his original position.

  Repeat Steps 2 through 5 until you punch Sabretooth off the cliff. If these steps are performed seamlessly, the game ends after a minute or two.
