Cheats for Zelda: Ocarina of Time Skulltula Rewards

The Golden Skulltulas are spiderlike creatures in the game "The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time" for the Nintendo 64. They are similar to the regular Skulltula enemies in the game, except you are rewarded with a Golden Skulltula token after defeating one. You can turn in these tokens to the family members in the Spider House in Kokiri Village for rewards.
  1. Rewards

    • For ever Golden Skulltula that you kill, you get one Skulltula token. By turning in 10 of these tokens, you get the Adult Wallet, which increases your maximum rupees to 200. Twenty tokens get you the Stone of Agony, an item that causes an N64 Rumble Pak to vibrate whenever Link approaches hidden treasure. Thirty tokens reward you with the Giant's Wallet, which raises your max rupees to 500. Forty tokens are rewarded with some Bombchus. You get a piece of heart when you turn in 50 tokens, and you get 200 rupees when you turn in the 100th and final token.

    Bugs

    • One of the ways Skulltulas like to hide from you is to burrow inside the many soft patches of soil around Hyrule. These patches are tan-colored squares with a small hole in the middle. If you release some trapped bugs from a jar near these patches, they will scurry into the holes and scare out the Skulltulas. If you release the bugs and instantly re-trap them in a bottle after one goes into the hole, you will get both the Skulltula and your bugs back. You can repeat this on other soil patches and never run out of bugs.

    Hunting Tricks

    • Some Skulltulas are active at night. Play the Sun Song on your Ocarina to make it nighttime if it is currently daytime. If you hear a mysterious scratching and scuffing noise during your Skulltula hunts, one of the creatures is near. You will recognize this sound if you have ever encountered a Skulltula before. Look around your immediate area as soon as you hear it to find your next Skulltula. Roll into nearby trees and crates, as Skulltulas tend to hide inside them. If you have found all Skulltulas in an area, a Skulltula icon will appear next to the location's name on your map. If there is no icon, continue searching the area to find the remaining Skulltulas.

    Infinite Skulltulas

    • You need 100 Skulltula tokens to get every Skulltula reward. It is possible to kill one specific Skulltula repeatedly to get these 100 tokens. You need bombs, the Song of Storms and the boomerang. You can find all of these by playing the main adventure. Visit Hyrule Castle and jump into the moat. Float until you arrive at a corner, allowing you to climb onto the shore. Stand next to the tree on the shore, and play the Song of Storms. Jump into the hole. Blow up the rocks here to reveal a Golden Skulltula. Kill the spider, but do not grab the token. Position Link in front of the light circle that returns him to the surface, and face the token. Z-Target the token, and throw your boomerang. Continue holding "Z," and walk backward into the circle before the boomerang returns to you. You will receive the token, but the Golden Skulltula will be alive again when you jump back into the hole. Continue doing this until you have 100 Skulltula tokens.
