How to Get Water for the Tree in Banjo-Kazooie

The sixth world in "Banjo-Kazooie" is Gobi's Valley, an Egyptian themed level. In Gobi's Valley, Banjo and Kazooie have to find water to give to a wilting tree named Trunker to curb the effects of a drought. They do this by freeing the eponymous camel, Gobi, who is chained to a rock, and forcing him to share the water he is storing in his hump. When Trunker receives the water, he gives Banjo and Kazooie a piece of Jiggy.

Instructions

    • 1

Navigate to Gobi's Valley by holding "Z" and pressing the left "C" button to perform a Talon Trot and walking up the hill on the left of the main entrance to Grunty's lair. Keep heading straight through the coin doors until you reach the large Grunty statue. Head up the stairs to the right of the statue. Smash the brick wall with a Beak Barge by holding "Z" and pressing the "B" button to get the wellies; use them to wade through the sand to enter Gobi's Valley.

    • 2

Enter the world and walk forwards until you reach the large pyramid that is at the center of the level. Look around the pyramid until you find the magic carpet. Jump onto it, and it will fly automatically. Ride it until you reach Gobi, the camel, who is chained to a rock. Jump off onto Gobi's platform.

    • 3

Perform a Beak Buster on the rock Gobi is chained to by pressing "A" to jump and "Z" to slam down on it. Once he is free, Gobi will move to the shade of Trunker.

    • 4

Go to Trunker and talk to him by approaching him and pressing the "A" button; he will tell you that he wants water. Perform a Beak Buster on Gobi, and he will spit water onto Trunker, which will revive him, causing him to grow and to reveal a Jiggy piece.
