"Chrono Trigger" was released for the Super Nintendo in 1995. Many items are available in the game that serve a variety of purposes, whether it is to bring a character back to life, cure them of a status ailment or to heal wounds. Tonics, what most role-playing games call potions, are used in "Chrono Trigger" to heal your characters from any injuries that character has received in battle. Whether you are fighting a normal enemy or a boss, the method to use a tonic or any item will always remain the same.

Select "Tonic" from the item list and press "A."

Highlight a character using the control pad.

Press "A" to use the tonic on that character, healing 50 health.
