How to Train Franchises in Madden NFL 10

Madden NFL is one of the most popular football video games series, and it has been around since the late 1980s. One rich feature of Madden NFL is the Franchise Mode, which has been featured in every Madden game since 1998. Franchise Mode allows gamers to draft their own teams, trade players and play multiple seasons. One of the goals is to create the best franchise possible. The most effective way to make your franchise great is to win every game, and play well while doing so. Since that is easier said than done, Madden NFL 10 also has a training feature that gamers can use to help improve the skills of their virtual football players.

Instructions

    • 1

Turn on your game console and start Madden NFL 10.

    • 2

Scroll down and select "Franchise Mode" from the start screen. Franchise mode allows users to coach and manage their franchise. If you have not started a franchise, do so now.

    • 3

Scroll through your calendar and select the next game on your schedule to play. Do not choose the option to "simulate" this game.

    • 4

Select the "Train Active Team tor this Week" option. Before you confirm play for this scheduled game, you will be given the option to train your players.

    • 5

Choose the drills you want to perform this week, such as running, passing, kicking and blocking.

    • 6

Choose the player on your roster you want to train for the week. You cannot train every player on your team at the same time, because different players train using different drills. Pick a different player, and then complete each available drill for the week; you can do each drill only once. You must wait until the next week to run the drills again.

Quarterbacks should run the passing drills, and running backs should perform the running drills, but you can also improvise. If you want your wide receiver to become a better blocker, assign him to undertake a blocking drill. If you want your corner back to improve his interceptions, he can do a catching drill.

    • 7

Complete the drills. Your players' skills will not immediately improve as soon as you finish training, but you will notice progress after multiple weeks of training. You should combine exceptional play in the games with weekly training to see noticeable player improvement. If your running back completed every training drill, but did not play a down in the real game, do not expect his skills to improve.
