How to Defeat Ganondorf in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time

"The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time" was released for the Nintendo 64 game system in 1998. The main character of the game, Link, must save the land of Hyrule from Ganondorf, the king of the Gerudo thieves. The final boss battle is fought in two sections. The first battle is against the human Ganondorf, and the second is against Ganon, a large boar-like beast. With the right tactics, you can defeat both Ganondorf and Ganon without taking too much damage.

Instructions

    • 1

Equip any sword at the beginning of the battle and run along the edge of the room to avoid Ganondorf.

    • 2

Swing your sword to deflect the fireballs Ganondorf throws at you. Once you hit Ganondorf with a fireball, it will stun him. This requires good timing; it may take a few tries before you hit him.

    • 3

Shoot Ganondorf with a light arrow once you hit him with a fireball, and then immediately attack him with your sword. Continue this process to defeat Ganondorf.

    • 4

Follow Zelda out of the castle and attack the Stalfos to free her from the fire. Continue on until you escape the castle.

    • 5

Walk to the ruins of the castle to begin the battle with Ganon.

    • 6

Target Ganon's tail or head with the "Z" button and attack him with deku nuts, regular arrows, bombs or Biggoron's sword. Run around Ganon clockwise while you're fighting to avoid being attacked by his sword. After you attack him, he'll fall.

    • 7

Equip the master sword and immediately attack Ganon's tail with it. You can stun Ganon by hitting him with a light arrow to the head to aid in the fight. Continue this process to defeat Ganon and finish the game.
