How to Block Arrows in Fable: The Lost Chapters

"Fable: The Lost Chapters" for the Xbox is an expansion for the original "Fable" which adds new items, spells, quests and enemies to the game, adding a new level of challenge to the original "Fable." Your character will encounter several foes as he travels through the landscape of Albion. Some of these foes carry a bow and arrow and will attack your character from a distance, whittling down his health points before he has a chance to get close enough to counterattack. Block arrows to avoid unnecessary damage.

Instructions

- 1
  Press the "Y" button to perform a block maneuver when an arrow comes close. You must press the button before the arrow hits to reduce any damage.

  Hold the "Y" button to continue using the block action. Your character can still maneuver while blocking by using the Left Analog Stick. This causes him to perform a rolling action that blocks attacks while he moves.

  Cast a Shield spell to block arrows. Assign the Shield spell to one of your magic buttons and then hold down the Left Trigger plus that button to cast the spell. Each time an arrow hits you with the Shield spell on it will reduce your mana points instead of your health points.
