How to Kill a Screen From Dig Dug

Players complete a level of "Dig Dug" by defeating all of the enemies on the screen. In this arcade classic, Mr. Dig Dug drills into the earth to inflate and pop all of the Pookas and Frygar monsters on the screen to advance. Pookas are the goggled red balloon creatures, and Frygars are the green fire-breathing dragons. To continue to the next level, players must dig and attack with care to avoid being smashed by falling rocks or burned by aggressive Frygars.

Instructions

  Lure monsters to follow Mr. Dig Dug under a buried boulder. If you dig a tunnel underneath one of the two big rocks, it will wobble, fall and crush any monsters unlucky enough to be in its way.

  Hunt down the monsters before they have a chance to corner you in the subterranean maze. Pookas and Frygars do not create tunnels when they leave their burrows. Because they can move freely through the soil, it is a good tactic to thin out the herd before attempting advanced tactics.

  Shoot Mr. Dig Dug's harpoon when you face a monster and quickly tap on the attack button to inflate the creature until it pops. The lower your position in the dirt when an enemy is destroyed, the more points you are rewarded.

  Chase after the final Frygar or Pooka when you have defeated all of the others. The remaining beast will make a beeline for the surface and attempt to flee offscreen. Try to pick off this coward for easy points.
