How to Beat Ganondorf in Ocarina of Time

"The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time" was released for the Nintendo 64 in 1998. Ganondorf is the second to last boss in "Ocarina of Time," fought inside of Ganon's Castle. Ganondorf is not the final boss, but he is still a challenge for many players, requiring specific attacks and items to be used to damage him. All of the items are found prior to the fight and are already in your inventory -- effective use of these items will allow you to defeat Ganondorf.

Instructions

- 1
  Equip your Hover Boots before the fight begins, as you need them to make it to the center platform where Ganondorf is hovering above the ground.

  Avoid the tiles that Ganondorf throws at you from the center of the room.

  Hit Ganondorf's magical energy blast with your sword the moment before it hits you. This will reflect the energy blast back at Ganondorf, stunning him. Keep hitting the blast with your sword until it hits him if he reflects the blast back at you.

  Shoot Ganondorf with a Light Arrow once the magical blast hits him. He will fall to the ground once he is hit with the Light Arrow.

  Hit Ganondorf with your sword. Ganondorf will resume floating above you after four or five hits.

  Avoid the golden spheres Ganondorf throws at you from the black vortex above of his head by rolling out of the way.

  Smash the pots in the corners of the room to regain your health and arrows.
- 8
  Continue to attack Ganondorf until he is defeated, at which point a cutscene will play showing your victory.
