How to Kill Dark Link

"Zelda II" was released for the NES in 1988. The final boss of the game, Dark Link, will provide even the most seasoned gamer with a challenge. Dark Link looks exactly like your character and is equipped with a sword and shield. He also has access to all of your combat skills, like the downward thrust. However, you can use your magic, in addition to a few other techniques, to give yourself the edge when fighting this boss.

Instructions

- 1
  Use the Shield spell before the battle begins. Shield reduces the damage you receive by half.

  Crouch in the left corner of the screen. This allows you to keep Dark Link on one side of the screen.

  Swing your sword repeatedly while crouching in the corner. While Dark Link will block most of your attacks, he will occasionally stand and attempt to stab you or jump and thrust his sword downwards. When he does this, you will hit him with your sword before he hits you.

  Use the Life spell to recover your health during battle.

  Continue to damage Dark Link until his health bar, located at the left side of the screen, is depleted, leaving you victorious.
