Installing the Media Manager
Insert the CD-ROM that came with your GameShark into your computer. Click "Install" on the utility that opens to install the GameShark Media Manager. This is the utility that lets you add new GameShark codes to your device.
Open the GameShark Media Manager using its desktop icon.
Click "Internet Downloads." Browse the Internet for new GameShark cheats. Find cheats by searching for the name of the game. GameShark cheats do not work for all games. Each game will have its own cheat.
Insert a USB flash drive into your computer (for consoles like the Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3) or a SD card (for consoles like the Wii) into your SD card reader. If you don't have an SD card reader, you can't copy new cheats to your Wii GameShark.
Click "Copy to Memory Card." All of the cheats you just downloaded will be copied and added to your memory card or flash drive.
Selecting and Using Cheats
Insert your USB flash drive or SD card into your console (if applicable). If you don't wish to download new cheats from the Internet, the GameShark comes with hundreds of cheats pre-programmed into the device.
Insert your GameShark disc into your console (if applicable). If you're using a cartridge-based GameShark, plug the GameShark into the console and plug the game you're playing into the top of the GameShark device.
Turn on the console to load the GameShark main menu.
Select the name of the game you are trying to play from the GameShark's menu. This will load a list of cheats for that game. Scroll through the list and select the cheats you want to use with your controller.
Select the "Start Game" option from the GameShark menu to load the game. If you're using a disc-based console, you must remove the GameShark disc and insert the game disc. The codes you have selected will be activated and can be used during regular gameplay.
