How to Update Your Pokedex

The Pokedex is a personal handheld computer used by your character in the "Pokemon Diamond" video game. It is used to catalog all of the Pokemon you see during your travels in the game's story mode. Once you have seen and cataloged all 150 Pokemon in the "Diamond" video game, you can speak to a very specific person and upgrade your Pokedex.

Instructions

- 1
  Play through the game under normal circumstances until you see 151 Pokemon throughout your travels. Periodically check your Pokedex until you reach this number. You can see Pokemon out in the world through random encounters or by engaging in battles in towns and arenas.

  Go to Sandgem Town. Sandgem Town is marked on your world map, accessible from the game's menu at any time. Return to the building from early in the game and look for Professor Rowan.

  Speak to Professor Rowan. Because you have seen 151 Pokemon throughout your travels, this will trigger the in-game event that causes Professor Rowan to update your Pokedex.
