How to Stop the MP40 from Moving in Call of Duty

When you use the MP40 in "Call of Duty: Black Ops" under normal circumstances, the gun moves around in your hand every time you fire. This is called "recoil" and is a phenomenon caused by the displacement of force when a bullet is fired. Recoil can severely hinder your ability to aim at a target. If you want to stop the MP40 from moving you can do so by adding a specific attachment to the gun.

Instructions

    • 1

Select "Multipayer" from the "Call of Duty: Black Ops" main menu.

    • 2

Select the type of multiplayer game you are trying to play. Choose the available online option if you're using your console's Internet connection. Select "Local" if you're playing offline.

    • 3

      Select "Create a Class."

    • 4

Choose the class that you have set up that features the MP40. Select the "Primary Weapon" option.

    • 5

Select "Attachment." Highlight and select "Suppressor." This will add the suppressor attachment to the barrel of the MP40. The suppressor absorbs energy when you fire it, preventing the gun from recoiling during use.
