How to Unlock Knuckles in Sonic 3 Second Way

In many "Sonic the Hedgehog" games you can use a special code to play as Sonic's rival, Knuckles the echinda. In Sega's classic "Sonic 3," Knuckles cannot be played in the main (story) mode; however, in two-player mode you can take on the guise of the red echidna.

Instructions

     Select two-play competition on the title screen.

   • 2

     Choose one of the three modes (Grand Prix, Match Race or Time Attack).

   • 3

     Cycle between characters (Sonic, Tails and Knuckles) until you have selected Knuckles.

   • 4

     Press "Start." You can now battle your friends as Knuckles.
