How to Earn All of the Characters in SSB64

"Super Smash Brothers" for the Nintendo 64 started the Nintendo crossover fighting game franchise. It includes 12 characters from across Nintendo's famous first-party franchises, such as "Super Mario Brothers," "The Legend of Zelda," "Star Fox" and "Metroid." Eight characters are initially playable; the other four become available after fulfilling certain gameplay requirements.

Instructions

  Use all eight original characters to play through the Bonus 1 Practice game in single-player mode. This will unlock Luigi as a playable character.

  Finish single-player mode on any difficulty and defeat Jigglypuff at the end of the game to unlock her.

  Finish single-player mode in less than 20 minutes without using any continues, then fight Captain Falcon. Remember, that the two bonus stages, "Break the Targets" and "Board the Platforms," count toward this time limit.

  Set your Stock, or number of lives, to 3 and play through single-player mode on Normal difficulty without using any continues. Defeat Ness to play as him.
