How to Get to the Top of the Treasure Chamber in Banjo-Tooie

In the first world of the "Banjo-Tooie" game, Mayahem Temple, you are sent to the ruins of an ancient civilization deep in the jungle. Your goal is to collect enough puzzle pieces, called Jiggies, to progress to the next world. When you enter the treasure room, one of the natives tells you that his treasure has been stolen and taken to the top of the temple. He opens the door for you on the outside of the temple. It may seem like there is no way to get up to the top floor, but you can reach the door with some help from a Flight Pad.

Instructions

    • 1

Enter the Mayahem Temple world. Walk past the large gold statue and then walk to the right.

    • 2

Walk up to the molehill and speak with Jamjars the mole to learn the "Egg Aim" move. This lets you shoot eggs in first-person mode.

    • 3

Walk to the left, towards the golden treasure room. Shoot one egg at each of the six snake statues. This makes the door to the room open. Walk inside.

    • 4

Speak to the native inside the room. He opens the door on the outside of the temple for you so you are able to retrieve his treasure. Exit the treasure room.

    • 5

Go into Mumbo's Hut, straight across from the room. Talk to Mumbo to play as him. Walk outside and stand on the pad in front of the big gold statue. Press "B." This allows you to control the statue.

    • 6

Take the statue to the world entrance. Smash the rock by the door. A Flight Pad, which allows you to fly temporarily, is hidden underneath. When you run out of time controlling the statue, return to Mumbo's Hut and sit in his chair. You are now back in control of Banjo.

Leave the room and go to the Flight Pad you just revealed. While standing on it, jump up to start flying. Fly into the door that is open on the top of the treasure room.
