Enter the Water Temple. In the main room, swim to the right side and enter the passage. Drop down the water-filled hole and follow the path. Look for a large block at the end. Pull the block back all the way, then return to the main room.
Sink to the bottom of the main room and head to the east side. Enter the room with the two unlit torches. Inside, find a woman named Ruto. Speak with her, then float up to another room. Look for a Triforce on the wall. Walk near it, then play Zelda's Lullaby.
Head back down to the bottom floor where you spoke with Ruto. The main torch in this area is now lit. Shoot your bow through the torch so that the arrow passes through the flame and lights the other torches. When all of the torches are lit, the door will open and you can proceed to the next room. Kill all the Shell Blade enemies in this new room to receive a key. Exit and return to the main room of the temple.
Head to the west side of the main room and push the block into the hole. After it falls, jump in. Swim through the passage to a new room. Kill the Blue Tektite and hit the switch. Jump on the geyser that appears in the center, then jump to the other side of the room and head through the door. In the next room, float with the current to the small platform, then sink down onto it. Use the Hookshot to hit the switch in the dragon's mouth. Turn right and use your Hookshot on the target to gain access to another room. Float up and open the chest for a key, then return to the main room of the temple.
Head to the southern area of the main room. Across from a passageway leading south, you will see a locked door. Open it with a key and enter. Look up in the middle part of the room to find a target. Use your Hookshot on it to gain access to a platform with a Triforce symbol. Stand near the symbol and play Zelda's Lullaby. The water level will rise, and you can sink down a new hole at the bottom of the room. Stand at a distance and hit the switch. Kill the enemies that appear, and a door will open above you. Float up through it and climb out. Use a bomb on the tear in the wall and retrieve the key from the chest. Return to the main room.
Sink to the bottom of the main room and return to the room where you spoke with Ruto. Float up to the surface of the water and climb out onto the platform. Use a bomb on the tear in the wall. Grab the key from the chest and head back to the main room. On the west side of the room, climb or Hookshot onto the platform and go through the locked door. In this new room, stand on the geyser and hit the switch. As you rise up on the geyser, hold out yor shield to block the Tektite that will attack you.
Defeat the Tektite and exit through the door, where you stand on a platform overlooking the main room. Find the Triforce symbol and play Zelda's Lullaby to make the water rise.
Jump into the water and swim to the left side. Climb up on the platform and enter the locked door. Kill the enemies and drop down to one of the bottom platforms. Use the Hookshot to climb up the moving platforms, then go through the door at the top.
Kill the Blue Tektites in this new room. Use your Hookshot or bow to hit the switch in the center. This will cause the dragon statues to rise. Hookshot onto the first statue, then hit the switch again. Hit the target on the wall with your Hookshot, then run past the dragon statue's head. Hit the switch once more, then Hookshot onto the third dragon statue. Hit the switch again, then climb onto the third dragon statue's head. Hit the switch one last time to rise with the third dragon statue. In this new part of the room, throw bombs to defeat the Like Like, then use your Hookshot on the ceiling target to exit.
Walk around until you encounter Shadow Link. Defeat him by defending his attacks, then go on the offensive as he recovers. Alternatively, you can use Din's Fire or the Megaton Hammer for an easier battle. Once you have defeated Shadow Link, go through the north door. Open the chest in this room to receive the Longshot.
