How to Get the Heat Gun in Metroid Prime 3: Corruption

"Metroid Prime 3: Corruption" on the Nintendo Wii was the final game in the trilogy of the classic science fiction series released in 2007. The game features a host of powerful weapons including the Plasma Beam that shoots out a highly destructive heat ray in battle. To get the weapon, you must defeat Ghor on the "GFS Olympus" stage of the game.

Instructions

- 1
  Approach Gor as he tries to destroy your gunship in the main docking bay. Scan Ghor as he triggers a shield protecting the front of his body.

  Lock onto Ghor when he reaches out with his arms by pressing the "Z" button. Shoot at him to make him fall over in the gel in the center of the docking bay. Fire your Charge Beam at the generator on Ghor's back using the "A" button, which will knock out his shield.

  Attack his glowing white head by entering Hyper Mode, activated by holding down the "+" button. Repeat this process until Ghor produces a beacon. Hit this beacon by thrusting yourself at Ghor using the Boost Ball option triggered by pressing the "C" button. Repeat this process a second time and attack Ghor's head as before.

  Shoot at Ghor's now-exposed head while you are in Hyper Mode as he makes one more attempt to bring you down. He will drop the Plasma Beam once defeated.
