How to Get a Wife in Harvest Moon

Visit the woman of your choice each day. Discover where your woman of choice spends her days and visit her at least once a day. On most days, Nina is at the flower shop, Ann is at the tool shop, Maria is at the mayor's mansion, Ellen is in front of the livestock shop and Eve is at the bar. However, you can only visit Eve during the evening at the bar. The women visit other locations on the weekend.

Give a gift to the woman of your choice every day. To marry a woman in "Harvest Moon," you must make her fall in love with you by raising her affection points. The easiest method of raising affection points is to give the woman a gift every day in the game.

Dance with the woman of your choice at festivals. There is a festival once every season. Ask the woman of your choice to dance with you at a festival to raise her affection points.

Ask a woman to marry you once her affection levels raise to level five. Check your menu to see how many hearts she currently has. Raise her affection by visiting her, giving her gifts she likes and dancing with her at festivals.

Upgrade your house. You need 250 pieces of wood and 5000 Gold to upgrade your home to the simplest level necessary for marriage. Chop wood stumps with your ax, save money from foraging and farming and speak to the carpenter living on the mountain to upgrade.

Buy the blue feather. You use a blue feather to propose marriage to the woman you've wooed. You can only buy the blue feather on Sundays from the traveling peddler in the town. It costs 5000 Gold.

Give the blue feather to the woman of your choice. She accepts your proposal if you have raised her affections and upgraded your house.
