How to Get the Red Tunic in Ocarina of Time

"The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time," released for the Nintendo 64 game console in 1998, is a puzzle-filled quest that allows the player to overcome numerous obstacles in order to save Zelda, the princess, and bring peace to Hyrule again. The red tunic is something you need in order to survive in places like the Fire Temple. Without the tunic, your life will diminish until you either leave or don the red tunic.

Instructions

    • 1

Walk out of the Kokiri Forest after baby Deku Tree tells you the story of who you are and about Ganon and how he came to be in Hyrule.

    • 2

Make your way to Goron City. You should be an adult. You can use the shortcut through the Lost Woods if you've bombed the boulders blocking the entrance in Goron City before. If you haven't, you must follow the path up across the field, up the stairs to Kakariko Village, through the gate and up the mountain.

    • 3

Defeat a few bad guys on your way to Goron City. You need to acquire several bombs. You can also buy them at the store in Kakariko Village if you have enough rupees.

    • 4

Walk into Goron City and find the level where the little Goron is rolling around. You need to stop him using a bomb. When he comes rolling toward you, throw several bombs, or leave a trail of bombs until you hear the music change. This change in music means you've stopped his rolling.

    • 5

Talk to the little Goron and listen to his story. He will tell you that the Gorons left to defeat a dragon in the Fire Temple. He will then give you the red tunic you need.
