How to Beat Level 71 in Bubble Bobble

"Bubble Bobble" is a classic arcade game that was released in 1986. Featuring 100 levels and the opportunity to play with a friend, you must guide your character through the screen, using your ability to fire bubbles to get into hard-to-reach places and to capture monsters. The game is now available for free on your PC or Mac. If you're struggling with Level 71, the key is to master the simple jumping-on-a-bubble technique.

Instructions

  Walk over to the right until you are half-on and half-off the edge of the platform.

  Fire out a bubble and jump on to it. Keep jumping on it as it ascends the left edge of the pit in the middle of the gaming area. Keep firing bubbles as you ascend, trapping the two PulPul and three Banebous in the pit.

  Jump on the trapped creatures to release them and collect the fruit they leave behind.

  Use a bubble to return to the top edge of the middle pit on a bubble and drop back down to the starting position. Create another bubble and use the jumping technique to travel back up the edge of the pit, this time firing bubbles at the Zen-Chan in the left pit. Drop down and land on the trapped Zen-Chan to collect his fruit.

  Ride up out of the left pit on a bubble and traverse across to the right pit. Drop down along the right edge of the middle pit and use the jump technique to ascend, shooting bubbles at the Zen-Chan in the right pit. Drop down into the right pit and land on the Zen-Chan, collecting the leftover fruit.
