How to Use the Limit Break in FF8

"Final Fantasy VIII" was released for the PlayStation in 1999 and is now available as a digital download on the PlayStation 3 and PSP. When your character has received damage, there is a random chance that that character may perform a Limit Break --- a powerful attack that will do more damage than normal to an enemy or group of enemies. Each character has a different limit attack and will learn more as the game progresses. The lower your character's health, the more likely it is that that character will perform a Limit Break in battle.

     Press "Right" on the directional pad when "Attack" is flashing yellow. This indicates that a Limit Break can occur.

     Select "Limit." The Limit Break your character will use is randomly selected from the pool of Limit Breaks available to that character.

     Press "X."

     Press any buttons displayed on screen during the Limit Break to deal extra damage. For example, press the "R1" button when it flashes on screen during Squall's Limit Break.
