How to Change Your Name in Zelda: Ocarina of Time

"Zelda: Ocarina of Time" was released for the Nintendo 64 in 1998. By default, your main character's name is Link. However, when you start a new game, you can change his name. Names can be eight characters in length, and include uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers and symbols. The beginning of the game is the only place to change the main character's name -- once the game has started, you cannot change it.

Instructions

  Press "Start" at the main menu.

  Select an empty file from the three file choices and press "A" on your Nintendo 64 controller.

  Select the letter, number or symbol to use by highlighting it with the analog stick. Press "A" to input that character into the field next to "Name?" at the top of the screen.

  Press "A" on the icon of an arrow pointing left to delete the last selected character.

  Press "A" when "End" is highlighted to confirm your name. The game will now begin and the main character will use the name you selected.
