How to Do a Pit Fatality in MK1 for Sega

"Mortal Kombat" was released on Sega Genesis in 1993. The first edition was edited. Designers changed the blood to sweat and , among other things, omitted each character's fatality on the Pit. To perform a Pit fatality in "Mortal Kombat," you first enable blood by performing a special sequence of buttons before the game begins. Once this is done, each character's original fatality and Pit fatality will be restored.

Instructions

    • 1

Press "A," "B," "A," "C," "A," "B," and "B" when the Mortal Kombat introduction text is played after the game has been booted. When inputted correctly, you'll hear someone shout "Get Over Here," and the text will change from white to red.

    • 2

Play until you reach the Pit stage. This stage is set on a bridge at night with a moon overhead.

    • 3

Defeat your opponent in both rounds. At the end of the second round, the words "Finish Him" appear on the screen. You will only have a few seconds to perform the Pit fatality.

    • 4

      Stand next to your opponent.

    • 5

Press down on the directional pad and "A" at the same time to perform an uppercut (the fatality is performed the same for every character). If executed in time, your opponent will be knocked off the bridge and onto the spikes below. The word "Fatality" will appear on screen.
