Extra Lives and Invincibility
From the main menu, you can enter a handful of cheats to make game play easier. Two of these cheats eliminate the need for health meters and lives. To start a game with nine lives, enter the following button pattern: "Triangle," "Circle," "Circle," "Square," "Right," "Square." To become invincible, press "Triangle," "X," "Circle," "X," "Square," "Square." You will hear a musical note after entering a cheat correctly. This confirms the cheat is now activated.
Miscellaneous Cheats
You can jump to your favorite level by entering the following button pattern at the menu screen: "Right," "Left," "Circle," "Triangle," "Triangle." After entering the code, select the level you wish to play. Keep your green laser level full by entering "Triangle," "Square," "Circle," "X" "Left," "Circle." Finally, to fill your piggy bank to 99 coins, enter "Circle," "X," "X," "Square," "Triangle," "Square." You can cash in these coins for Pizza Planet tokens, which unlock new levels in the game.
Unlimited Lives Trick
With a few simple steps, you can rack up an infinite number of lives. In each level, Mr. Potato Head asks you to find one of his body parts. When you find his ear, you unlock access to a cosmic shield. Go to Al's house, activate the shield and run into the fireplace. Inside the fireplace is an extra life. After collecting this free life, exit the level, reload and reenter Al's house. Repeat the steps you took to acquire the free life. You can use this trick over and over to collect a large storage of free lives.
Bonus Movie
Although you need to collect only a few tokens to unlock the next level of the game, you will find five tokens hidden in each level. In addition to finding hidden tokens, you must also complete challenges to acquire additional tokens. These challenges are often time trials or puzzles. Collect a total of 50 tokens to unlock a bonus movie. View this movie at any time by selecting "Movie Viewer" from the options menu.
